Financial Controller Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Evergreen Services Group. As a Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Handle subcontractor and supplier invoices, including setting up new vendors.
  • Oversee and manage company payroll.
  • Prepare and analyze financial data, including profit and loss statements.
  • Conduct routine data entry for accounting records, invoicing, and billing.
  • Issue bills/invoices to customers and set up new customer accounts.
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks.
  • Complete bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain financial documents using an appropriate filing system.
  • Deposit cheques at the bank.
  • Assist in audits as required.
  • Coordinate effectively with team members, other departments, customers, subcontractors, and vendors.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years' experience in a financial controller role.
  • Proficient in bank reconciliations and bookkeeping tasks.
  • Experience managing payroll.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Expertise in accounting software (QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is essential.
