Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Marmalade Recruitment & Resources Inc. in Vancouver. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading financial operations, managing a team of finance professionals, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of finance professionals, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Project Accounting: Oversee all aspects of financial management for projects, including planning, organizing, auditing, accounting for, and controlling project budgets.
- Intercompany Accounting: Manage robust intercompany accounting practices to ensure accurate and consistent recording and reconciliation of transactions across multiple entities.
- Strategic Reporting and Compliance: Direct the preparation and publication of all financial statements in coordination with the CEO and other senior leaders.
- ERP Implementation: Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the ERP systems, ensuring streamlined financial processes and enhanced reporting capabilities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial operations adhere to federal and provincial regulations, including tax strategies and compliance with filing requirements.
- A CPA designation is required.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller in project-based industries such as IT Services is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in intercompany accounting.
- Experience with SAP and implementing ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing successful teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in standard financial software tools and systems.
