Financial Controller Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead our financial operations in Vancouver. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including project accounting, intercompany transactions, and strategic reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of finance professionals, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Project Accounting: Oversee all aspects of financial management for projects, including planning, organizing, auditing, accounting for, and controlling project budgets.
  • Intercompany Accounting: Manage robust intercompany accounting practices to ensure accurate and consistent recording and reconciliation of transactions across multiple entities.
  • Strategic Reporting and Compliance: Direct the preparation and publication of all financial statements in coordination with the CEO and other senior leaders.
  • ERP Implementation: Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the ERP systems, ensuring streamlined financial processes and enhanced reporting capabilities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial operations adhere to federal and provincial regulations, including tax strategies and compliance with filing requirements.
Requirements:
  • A CPA designation is required.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller in project-based industries such as IT Services is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in intercompany accounting.
  • Experience with SAP and implementing ERP systems is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing successful teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
