Job Title: Second Cook

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Second Cook to join our team at NRB Modular Solutions. As a Second Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring consistency and quality in food presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Prepare and set up food stations, including salad bars and sandwich preparation areas.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of food and kitchen supplies.
  • Collaborate with the Head Cook to plan and execute menu items, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of cooking experience in a similar or hotel/institutional environment.
  • FoodSafe Level I certification, with SafeCheck advanced food safety certification or HACCP certification an asset.
  • Ability to obtain a mark of 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test.
