Accounting Bookkeeper Job Description

At Shadforth Business Services, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Bookkeeper to join our team. As an Accounting Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Bookkeeping: Perform bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account reconciliations.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience in accounting and bookkeeping, preferably in a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting software, including QuickBooks and Sage Accounting Software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
