Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to oversee the preparation and packaging of finished goods, as well as to manage shipping operations. This is a temporary position aimed at providing coverage for an absence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the management of outbound, inbound, and drop shipments, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of products.
  • Engage with internal teams to ensure readiness for shipments.
  • Prepare shipping documentation in accordance with the regulations of both the country of origin and destination.
  • Maintain communication with customers and vendors to provide updates and resolve inquiries.
  • Keep an updated shipment tracking log.
  • Compile detailed bids for logistics service providers, assessing costs and negotiating favorable terms.
  • Analyze transportation expenses and recommend cost-effective strategies while maintaining service quality.
  • Organize and maintain packaging supplies to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Logistics Coordinator role or a related field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of logistics processes, transportation methods, and supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with international regulations and compliance standards, particularly in Europe.
  • Proficient in ERP software, such as SAP or Sage.
  • Possession of APICS CLTD certification or actively pursuing one is preferred.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and experience with power tools and packaging equipment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including knowledge of databases and spreadsheets.
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical components is advantageous.

Compensation: Hourly wage ranges from $25 to $28, based on experience.
