Ignis Global Recruitment is looking for a Head of Fire Protection Engineering to lead the technical vision and strategic initiatives in the field of fire safety engineering. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the technical dimensions of fire protection engineering, emphasizing innovation and excellence in service delivery. Your expertise will guide complex projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and industry benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the technical operations of the fire protection engineering division, prioritizing innovation, quality, and excellence.
  • Formulate and execute strategic initiatives to bolster technical capabilities and enhance market positioning in fire protection engineering.
  • Offer expert insights on intricate fire protection engineering projects, guaranteeing compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to refine project delivery processes and methodologies, incorporating advanced technical practices.
  • Guide and develop team members to promote technical expertise and growth within the fire protection engineering sector.
  • Foster a culture of ongoing technical enhancement, promoting innovation and excellence across all fire protection engineering activities.
  • Build and sustain robust technical relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders to support business development.
  • Stay abreast of technical advancements and emerging technologies to pinpoint opportunities for innovation in fire protection engineering.
  • Exemplify leadership by maintaining a steadfast commitment to technical integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards in all interactions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree is advantageous.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) certification in Fire Protection Engineering or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in fire protection engineering, showcasing a successful history of project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • In-depth technical knowledge in fire modeling, performance-based design, and advanced methodologies in fire protection engineering.
  • Exceptional leadership and management capabilities, with a talent for inspiring and guiding technical teams towards achieving objectives.
  • Strategic mindset with a proven ability to devise and implement plans that drive technical growth and meet objectives.
  • Dedication to quality and continuous improvement, focused on delivering outstanding solutions and value to clients.
  • Proficiency in relevant technical software and tools, including FDS, CFD, and analytical tools.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to support project activities and business development initiatives.

The compensation for this role ranges from $160,000 to $200,000 CAD, contingent on experience and qualifications. The benefits package includes performance bonuses and potential relocation assistance.
