Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our International Tax team at BDO Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing tax services to our clients, including our growing public company division.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tax services to clients, including tax planning, compliance, and consulting.
- Develop and maintain a sound understanding of taxation concepts and apply knowledge to client situations.
- Propose practical and innovative tax solutions to clients and prepare tax reorganizations and reviews.
- Engage in tax consulting activities, including advising on international expansion, inbound expansion into Canada, and tax controversy matters.
- Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients.
- Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues.
- Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team.
- Completed Canadian CPA designation and In-Depth Tax Course or Masters of Tax.
- 5+ years of experience in the public accounting industry specializing in Tax.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of Canadian and International Tax.
- Extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate tax compliance, and planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
- Display strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
