Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing counseling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining their goals and means of attaining them. You will also be responsible for coordinating recreation activities, leading groups, and performing administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement counseling and intervention programs to assist clients in determining their goals and means of attaining them
  • Coordinate recreation activities to promote physical and emotional well-being
  • Lead groups and implement life skills workshops to enhance clients' independence and self-esteem
  • Perform administrative tasks, including writing progress reports and maintaining client records
  • Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary health team to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • Experience in recreation therapy or a related field is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
