This position entails responsibilities as a Registered Nurse in Acute Care, where you will serve as a skilled clinician with extensive experience in patient care. You will apply your knowledge, theoretical understanding, and practical experience to adapt to evolving clinical circumstances.
The RN in this role will implement the Synergy Model for Care, tailoring services to meet the unique needs of each patient and their family, while also acting as a resource for colleagues and a staunch advocate for patients and families.
Effective communication is essential; you will consistently engage with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare professionals to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient care, independently utilizing the nursing process.
Demonstrated assessment skills are crucial, as is the ability to recognize how nursing interventions influence patient outcomes. You will accurately document the nursing process in the appropriate formats, including electronic records and clinical pathways, while planning and executing patient care autonomously.
Incorporating patient and family input into care planning is vital, as is the effective management of time. You will integrate the AACN Synergy Model into your clinical practice and identify opportunities to revise policies and procedures based on evidence-based research.
Regular evaluation and revision of patient care documentation will also be part of your responsibilities.
Qualifications include a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program with at least 12 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or have recently completed a re-entry nursing program.
Note:
Individuals currently working as an LPN within the Emory Healthcare system and who are completing an accredited RN program will be considered eligible for the Nurse Clinician title while progressing through the Resident program.
