Job Summary
Banquet Supervisor - Event Coordinator
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Banquet Supervisor to join our team at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our banquet events.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to plan and organize banquet events, including corporate meetings, conferences, weddings, and other special events.
- Coordinate event logistics, including setup and take down, decorations, audiovisual equipment, and seating arrangements.
- Train and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and event setup crew.
- Directly supervise staff during events, ensuring the highest quality service and exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Anticipate guests' needs and provide exceptional service to enhance their experience.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of events.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of food and beverage experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Previous banquets experience considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, guests, and team members effectively.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and coordinate events simultaneously.
- Quick decision-making and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected issues during events.
- Deep understanding of hospitality industry standards and trends.
- Valid ProServe certification.
- Experience working in a variety of restaurant settings.
- Completion of a business or hospitality degree is preferred.
