8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation:

Salary Range: $49,600 - $74,400

Location:

Vancouver – Hybrid work model available.

Role Responsibilities:

The Analyst plays a crucial role in the development and management of the commercial mortgage portfolio by evaluating financial documents and ensuring compliance with internal and external policies. The focus is on CMHC, construction, and conventional commercial real estate financing.

  • Assess and create financial models for various multi-unit housing projects.
  • Analyze financial data related to commercial properties, including rent rolls and operating statements, to assist in determining loan parameters.
  • Review external reports such as appraisals and environmental assessments to ensure adherence to investor guidelines.
  • Prepare comprehensive loan summaries, including financial analyses, to facilitate the loan approval process.
  • Collaborate with Funders, Investors, Legal teams, and other consultants to ensure all loan conditions are satisfied.
  • Oversee ongoing construction loan disbursements, ensuring compliance with budgets and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor both pending and approved loans, including a review of associated fees.
  • Execute additional tasks as necessary to support the objectives of the commercial mortgage division.
  • Comply with policies and procedures to meet AML requirements when applicable.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Familiarity with real estate lending regulations.
  • Experience in financial analysis, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Understanding of regulations governing real estate loans.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Results-driven and self-motivated.
  • Preferred experience in construction finance, private equity, or accounting with a focus on real estate.
  • Knowledge of property valuation principles and the construction process.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
