Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Reliability Engineer to join our Azure-focused Cloud Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will provide infrastructure and orchestration support to our product engineering organization, ensuring the security, availability, and scalability of our cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a domain expert on Azure Cloud for the Q2 organization
  • Support product development teams with cloud infrastructure and monitoring
  • Maintain standards for secure, highly available infrastructure
  • Scale our application infrastructure to ensure a positive customer experience

  • Collaborate independently with partner teams
  • Contribute technical expertise to incident response and architectural discussions
  • Work to improve our monitoring and alerting systems
Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience primarily with C#,.NET, and Azure
  • 2+ years of professional experience with a public cloud provider (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • 2+ years of professional experience working with CI/CD pipelines on any platform (GitLab, TeamCity, Jenkins, Azure-Devops)
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python, Go, Javascript) and scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python, Powershell)
  • Empathy for the end user and a desire to measure your work by both customer value and technical quality
  • A bias for action tempered with thinking about the implications of the work you're doing
  • Enthusiasm for the field and professional development/improvement outside the day-to-day job
  • Strong preference for automating repetitive manual tasks
  • 2+ years experience in a DevOps, Platform, or SRE role
  • 2+ years experience with an Infrastructure as Code technology (Terraform or similar)
  • 2+ years experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration technology
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and dashboard technologies
  • Experience leading cross-team projects and mentoring other engineers
