Public Company Audit and Assurance Manager

We are seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Public Company Audit Manager to join our expanding Public Company Audit and Assurance Group at DMCL CPA LLP.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in public practice, particularly with publicly listed companies, and possess strong technical accounting and audit skills.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and complete complex audit engagements from start to finish, ensuring compliance with DMCL's audit methodology and professional standards.
- Prepare and present agendas for audit planning meetings, and ensure audit workpapers and financial statements are completed to professional standards.
- Supervise and mentor staff, ensuring high-quality work and providing timely feedback on performance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing information flow, resolving queries, and ensuring exceptional service.
- Assist with field training and effectively lead field staff.
- 5+ years' experience in public practice, specifically in audit/assurance.
- CPA/CA designation or reciprocal designation recognized by CPA Canada.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Canadian auditing standards.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge in CaseWare, CaseView, TaxPrep, TaxPrep Forms, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, Sage 50, and/or Simply Accounting.
- Proven success in leading high-performance teams, achieving results through others, and being a strong team player.
- Exceptional researching and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, displaying professionalism with clients and staff.
- Proactive and independent work ethic, strong time management, adaptability to fast-paced environments, and advanced knowledge of accounting and assurance standards.
- Committed to continuous professional development and self-learning.
