We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Supervisor to lead our team of security guards and ensure the smooth operation of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of security guards in protecting people and securing the site with compassion and a focus on de-escalation
  • Plan, direct, and ensure the smooth running of operations at the site
  • Develop and implement procedures and policies for security operations
  • Ensure the protection of people, assets, and property
  • Escort individuals within the facility, using restraints to ensure the safety of everyone
  • Demonstrate empathy and compassion when working with individuals under stress
  • Observe, monitor, and report on behavior of detainees
  • Conduct regular foot patrols of both indoor and outdoor facilities
  • Utilize tactical training to de-escalate potentially dangerous situations

Requirements:

  • Security Supervisor experience, managing a team of 10+ security guards
  • 1 to 3 years experience in personnel management in a unionized environment
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is considered an asset
  • A valid Ontario security guard license
  • A valid and current First Aid/CPR certificate from a WSIB-recognized training provider
  • Canadian citizenship or 5-years permanent residence status
  • Minimum high school diploma from a recognized education provider
  • Ability to pass a Public Works Clearance and a Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Available to work flexible hours, in a full-time or part-time capacity
