Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at Shercom Industries Inc. as a key member of our production team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and maintain machinery used for mixing, calendering, extruding, moulding, and curing rubber materials or rubber products.
  • Monitor and check product quality to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Train or assist in the training of other workers to ensure a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Operate machines or equipment to cut, shape, splice, fit, and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products.
  • Inspect finished rubber products for defects and make minor adjustments or repairs as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate internal record-keeping systems to track production and quality metrics.
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
  • Dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is physically demanding and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
