Director of Student Financial Operations

The Director, Student Financial Services is a key member of the University Registrar's senior leadership team, responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the student financial units. This role plays a critical role in the financial, operational, and strategic leadership of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic advice and leadership to the student financial units, including Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards, Financial Analysis & Fees.
- Develop and implement financial policies, programs, and strategies that support the University's enrolment management objectives and academic plan.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of the student financial record for all 55, active students.
- Administer Senate-approved University policy in a manner that is student-focused, fair, and transparent.
- Lead and manage a team of professionals to achieve unit goals and objectives.
- University degree required, preferably with master's level training in finance or business.
- Certified professional accounting designation (CPA) required.
- Seven to ten years of experience in a management position within a post-secondary setting or a large complex organization.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of accounting and business practices and procedures.
- Exceptional broad-based general management experience with a solid background in finance and recent relevant experience in financial management, business management, or related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and lead a high-performing team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments within tight deadlines and achieve objectives.
- Commitment to professionalism, high standards, integrity, and stability.
