Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven District Account Manager to join our team at Pig Improvement Company. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our portfolio of technical and/or non-technical products and services directly to current and new end customers in the Colorado and Kansas regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong sales relationships with existing and new customers, ensuring a substantive sales opportunity pipeline.
  • Sell and manage the relationship with new and existing partnership segment accounts by providing exceptional service and support.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including Technical Service, Genetic Programs, and other third-party resources, to maximize customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
  • Partner with customers to develop tailored genetic and reproductive strategies that meet their specific needs and goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase market share in the partnership segments.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with management, employees, sales force representatives, and customers, representing Pig Improvement Company in a manner consistent with our company objectives and image.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to company safety rules and policies.
Requirements
  • Extensive travel required, with a percentage dependent on assigned territory.
  • 4-year degree in business or agriculture preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • Strong presentation, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and problem-solve.
  • Self-sufficient and capable of seeing tasks and responsibilities through to completion.
  • Experience effectively setting and managing toward a sales plan.
