About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Virtual Care Manager to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a key member of our Digital Health team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of virtual care applications to improve patient access and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to support the achievement of Interior Health's mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and manage the activities of the Virtual Care team, providing leadership and mentorship to team members.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for the support and implementation of virtual care solutions.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Foster relationships with key internal and external partners to ensure effective virtual care service delivery.
  • Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Promote and lead the investigation, evaluation, selection, approval, acquisition, planning, education, support, and transition of new virtual care-related software systems and technology.
  • Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and implement standards for service and performance, evaluating and effecting changes as needed to improve services and optimize patient and clinical user experience.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Management Experience: Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with a strong track record of success in strategic planning and implementation.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of healthcare technology and virtual care solutions, with experience in evaluating and implementing new technologies.
  • Collaboration and Communication Skills: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with experience in budget management and financial planning.
