Job Title: Senior Software System Engineer

Telesat is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software System Engineer to join our Lightspeed System Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for architecting software systems, simulating and modeling terrestrial and in-orbit communication systems, and supporting the definition of system architecture.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with software teams to design and develop solid software systems.
  • Mentor system architects, antenna engineers, and other teams in industry-best software practices.
  • Characterize and analyze system performance, develop and maintain performance budgets.
  • Provide technical support to vendors of software systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical computer engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in communication systems software.
  • Knowledge of digital communication systems, modulation standards, and security architectures.
  • Good understanding of MATLAB or other tools for modeling and analyzing communication systems.
