We are seeking a skilled Stucco Plasterer to join our team at DeCicco Bros. Plastering & Stucco. As a Stucco Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth and durable finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply, Level and Smooth Coats of Plaster: Use a variety of techniques to apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to walls and ceilings.
  • Clean and Prepare Surfaces: Clean and prepare surfaces to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Cure Freshly Plastered Surfaces: Apply a curing agent to freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a strong and durable finish.
  • Finish Corners and Angles: Use a variety of techniques to finish corners and angles, including creating decorative designs in the finish coat.
  • Mix Plaster Ingredients: Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Mould and Install Ornamental Plaster Panels: Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim to add a decorative touch to walls and ceilings.
  • Spray Acoustic or Texture Materials: Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings to create a unique and durable finish.
  • Trowel or Spray Coats of Stucco: Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
  • Work at Heights: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to apply plaster and stucco coatings.
  • Erect and Install Scaffolding: Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access to work areas.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in plastering and stucco work is required.
  • Work Site Environment: The work site environment is at heights, dusty, noisy, and outdoors.
  • Work Setting: The work setting is commercial, residential, and various locations.
  • Supervision: The supervisor will have 3-4 people under their supervision.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The work conditions and physical capabilities required include hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, overtime required, physically demanding, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: The personal suitability required includes dependability, reliability, and a team player attitude.
