We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Sault Area Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in our Acute Medicine unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Process and Standards of Nursing Practice.
  • Provide health education to patients and their families.
  • Make clinical decisions and exercise judgment to ensure the best possible nursing care is provided.
  • Participate in the implementation and practice of a theory-based approach to nursing care.
  • Comply with legislative, organizational, and departmental regulations, standards, and procedures related to occupational health and safety.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
  • Current certification in venipuncture.
  • Niche, Pieces, or other similar geriatric nursing certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated clinical competency in the management and care of patients in the medical unit.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment required for patient care.
  • Computer literacy in a Microsoft environment.
  • Knowledgeable in the care of geriatric patients.
