Job Title: Handyman/Woman

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman/Woman to join our team at Highview Restoration Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks, including repairs, installations, and upkeep of our facilities. This is a permanent position, requiring a minimum of 30 to 40 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors and stairs.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt.
  • Conduct safety and security checks to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs, such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Work with minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Prepare floors for installations and measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets as required.
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, and connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets.
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings and mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • Install interior prefabricated products and work with kitchen cupboard and vanity installers as needed.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in various locations.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and good judgement.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in various locations, including construction sites, and will be exposed to physical demands, such as bending, crouching, and kneeling. The ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) is also required.
