The Role
The Specialist II, Global Account Services position is a dynamic support role focused on facilitating hotel bookings for global clients across various segments. This role involves coordinating group and transient bookings through various communication channels. Specialists collaborate with internal teams and external clients to negotiate favorable rates and terms, utilizing proposals and contracts. Responsibilities include managing bookings that range from single rooms to large group reservations, while maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
Key Responsibilities
The core functions of the Specialist II include:
- Processing incoming opportunities and converting them into confirmed bookings.
- Engaging with clients, global sellers, and hotels through various communication methods to secure the best rates and accommodations.
- Addressing and resolving basic customer service inquiries from key accounts.
- Maintaining attendance in accordance with company policies, as consistent presence is crucial for success in this role.
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and general web browsing.
- A minimum of one year of sales experience, ideally within the hospitality sector.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with the travel industry is advantageous.
