Behaviour Interactive, a renowned game development studio at the forefront of interactive entertainment, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced World Designer to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in crafting the captivating worlds for an unannounced AAA project built on Unreal Engine 5, collaborating with a talented team of developers and artists.

As a World Designer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and overseeing world sections from initial concept to final implementation, encompassing grayblocking, iterations, and gameplay integration.
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure the level design vision is realized throughout the development process.
  • Establishing conventions and refining world design elements such as scale, distances, paths, and metrics.
  • Supporting mission integrations and world events within levels.
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members.
  • Contributing to the creation of detailed design documents and effective communication with various departments.

We are looking for an individual who possesses:

  • 10+ years of experience in game development, specializing in level/world design, particularly on AAA titles.
  • A deep understanding of space, flow, and pacing within game environments.
  • Proven experience working on AAA projects, with a preference for open-world experiences.
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine and related tools.
  • Familiarity with procedural content generation is a plus.
  • The ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in French and/or English.
