CT Imaging Specialist

Island Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Imaging Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting specialized imaging procedures, primarily focusing on Computed Tomography (CT), while also performing general medical imaging tasks.
- Managing and prioritizing workload effectively, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
- Monitoring patient conditions throughout imaging procedures and operating advanced acquisition equipment.
- Assuming leadership roles during shifts, including evening, weekend, and night responsibilities, while working independently.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A diploma from an accredited Radiology Technologist program and eligibility for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Recent experience in radiography and computed tomography, along with completion of an accepted CT certification program or equivalent qualifications.
The CT Imaging Specialist will work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, utilizing various software applications and electronic information systems to enhance patient care.
