Axis Family Resources Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our supportive housing program, you will provide individualized support to children, youth, and adults, promoting a positive and healthy environment that fosters growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily living support, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans, incorporating trauma-informed practices and promoting resilience and self-advocacy
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with Persons Served, their families, and community partners
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or related field
  • 1-2 years' experience in social services, preferably working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges
  • Reliable transportation and valid BC driver's license
  • Knowledge of complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD, or other neurobiological conditions
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
