About the Role:

Axis Family Resources Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children, youth, and adults living in our Specialized Supportive Housing in Quesnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support and care to persons served, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Develop and maintain healthy relationships with persons served, built on trust, respect, and empathy.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create and implement personalized care plans.
  • Support persons served in achieving their goals and aspirations, focusing on daily life skills development and promoting independence.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in trauma-informed care and complex needs support.

Requirements:

  • Certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or related discipline.
  • 1-2 years' experience in social services, preferably working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver's license.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work with complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD, or other neurobiological conditions.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered).
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
