About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maximo Application Specialist to join our team at Bombardier Transportation GmbH. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and evaluating the Business Information Solutions demand, collaborating with Core functions and Business partners to ensure a seamless end-to-end view.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders within the Service business unit.
  2. Manage and prioritize the Business Information Solutions demand, ensuring alignment with Bombardier's strategy and securing high-quality standards.
  3. Initiate projects, including effort estimation, in coordination with other IT departments and external partners as needed.
  4. Lead the creation of functional designs to improve or develop standard IT (Building Blocks) and services.
  5. Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  6. Promote standardization, integration, and innovation within the team.
  7. Develop an end-to-end understanding of business processes, vision, and best practices.
  8. Support the development, validation, and evaluation of BIS Solutions against requirements.
  9. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Business Solutions Roadmap to elaborate solutions.
  10. Stay up-to-date with market trends and solutions, assessing existing solutions and influencing the roadmap.
  11. Oversee daily operations for assigned areas, monitoring sustaining activities, projects, and customer service levels.
  12. Provide technical guidance and expertise in troubleshooting problems reported by end-users.
Requirements
  1. Typically, 5 or more years of professional IT experience in one of the IT functional areas, including previous IT project management experience.
  2. Typically, 2 years of experience as a working lead and/or supervisor.
  3. Experience with Maximo solution as a subject matter expert or senior developer.
  4. A proven track record in the successful implementation of Maintenance Management Systems.
  5. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a closely related field, or 3 years of equivalent work experience.
  6. Good verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
  7. Ability to express technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  8. Proficient planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of team members.
  9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  10. Ability to work well in teams.
  11. Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
