The AV Assistant will contribute to the ongoing development and upgrading of AV Services, providing technical support and administrative assistance to the Audio-Visual team. This role requires a strong understanding of AV systems, video conference equipment, and digital media formats.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for live streaming video deliveries, including onsite video conference support and remote teaching environments.
- Act as liaison between onsite instructors and off-site students and faculty, implementing best practices for remote teaching and collecting and distributing confidential material.
- Configure learning spaces for remote teaching situations to ensure equal educational experiences for in-class and remote students.
- Maintain up-to-date technical reports and assist Audio Visual technicians with day-to-day operations, including presentation equipment installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Perform administrative duties to support AV Services, including generating and maintaining reporting activities, circulating department communications, and supporting AV Techs with administrative tasks and projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AV systems, video conference equipment, and digital media formats.
- Knowledge of best practices for delivering distance education and camera operation and configurations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Outlook, as well as SharePoint, Our Collaborate, and Teams.
- Basic knowledge of video online management systems and corporate purchasing systems.
