As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our farm, ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality potatoes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Farm Plans: Create and execute detailed plans to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and achieve production goals.
- Supervise Farm Workers: Lead and coordinate the work of general farm workers and harvesting laborers, ensuring they have the necessary training and support to perform their duties effectively.
- Maintain Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of potato production, including soil fertility programs, crop management, and pest control.
- Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, harvesters, and sprayers.
- Manage Resources: Oversee the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies, to ensure efficient and effective production.
- Ensure Farm Safety: Develop and implement farm safety and bio-security procedures to protect employees, the environment, and the quality of our products.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant experience and training are essential.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in farm operations, crop production, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and attention to detail.
