We are seeking a skilled Shop Mechanic to join our team in Chicoutimi. In this role, you will be responsible for finding solutions, prioritizing safety, and working with the largest and most advanced earthmoving equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the extent of mechanical problems and perform repairs.
  • Order required parts.
  • Adjust, repair, and/or replace defective parts.
  • Work safely.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess a Heavy Equipment Mechanic Certification. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Other Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction equipment mechanics or equivalent.
  • Other training certifications, such as WHMIS, overhead crane operator, and forklift operator certification, are an asset.
  • Good knowledge of hydraulics and hydrostatic systems.
  • Able to perform welding tasks.
  • Experience and knowledge of Komatsu products are an asset.
  • Punctual, autonomous, proactive, and a team player.
  • Sound health and safety practices.
