Quality Assurance Analyst (Software Tester)

Wedge Networks is in search of a dedicated Quality Assurance Analyst (Software Tester) for a permanent full-time position.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in a relevant software discipline from an accredited institution
  • Over one (1) year of experience with UNIX / LINUX systems
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in software testing
    • Certifications such as ISTQB, Security, or other industry credentials are advantageous
  • A solid understanding of IT network infrastructure fundamentals, including equipment and deployment
  • Experience with virtualization technologies
    • Familiarity with cloud computing basics (e.g., VMware, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is beneficial
  • Experience in Product Acceptance Testing
  • Proficiency in creating and managing testing documentation (Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Reports, Change Requests)
  • Experience with agile software development and testing methodologies
  • Ability to manage and log incident reports effectively
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of articulating findings to stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with various teams within Engineering and Customer Support
  • A comprehensive understanding of QA methodologies
  • Knowledge of Web and Application Services, TCP/IP, and common Layer 7 protocols (e.g., HTTP, SMTP)
