Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Commercial Banking team, you will be responsible for establishing and growing long-term relationships with new and existing small business clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive business sales volume and revenue growth through opportunity spotting and prospecting
  • Generate referrals and sales results while ensuring superior client care and satisfaction
  • Build internal and external networks to capitalize on business opportunities and attract new clients
  • Lead in risk management and exercise due diligence in all banking procedures
  • Deliver financial advice and solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients
  • Visit clients on-site to gain a thorough understanding of their business objectives and operations
Requirements
  • Ability to cultivate long-term client relationships and acquire new clients
  • Business development and prospecting skills, including building and leveraging valuable business networks
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Credit skills and knowledge, including an understanding of risk assessments and financial analyses
  • Proven sales success demonstrated by exceeding sales targets
  • Completion of the RBC Banking Advisor training program or previous experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of a broad array of business and personal financial products and services
