About the Role

Northern Lights Public Schools is a leading educational institution in Alberta's Lakeland region, renowned for its commitment to student success and well-being. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to join our team in a full-time, temporary capacity for the upcoming school year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students with social skills, behavior skills, self-help, and personal care needs in a virtual environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized educational plans.
  • Provide support and guidance to students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary training and/or experience as an Educational Assistant.
  • Knowledge and experience with behavioral strategies and documentation procedures.
  • Experience working one-on-one and/or in group settings with students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Proficiency with computers and software applications used in educational settings.
  • Knowledge and experience in alternate communication strategies and individual program plans.
