Position Overview

Under the direct oversight of the Food & Beverage Outlet Manager or the Assistant Manager, this role is essential in delivering outstanding food and beverage service to guests in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. This position primarily functions as a Beverage Server while also undertaking light supervisory responsibilities during the absence of a manager or supervisor, typically towards the end of a shift. The role emphasizes adherence to company policies and procedures, fostering a motivational atmosphere, and supporting a safe and inclusive work environment for all staff members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute beverage service in accordance with established service standards.
  • Occasionally provide limited food service as needed.
  • Manage various financial transactions related to beverage service for guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area.
  • Communicate any potential issues regarding responsible beverage service.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer escalations, including evaluating situations for meal voids or comps.
  • Address basic inquiries and concerns from team members.
  • Monitor phone communications for sick calls and may coordinate replacements.
  • Assign sections to servers, bartenders, and hosts as applicable.
  • Facilitate basic training and orientation for new team members when necessary.
  • Organize early outs (EOs) as required.
  • Ensure completion of essential opening or closing duties and checklists, following up with colleagues as needed.
  • Deliver an exceptional entertainment experience to both internal and external guests, ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Build and nurture strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including guests, ownership, team members, vendors, and regulators.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed.

Education and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and qualities.
  • At least 1 year of experience in food and beverage service within a bar or restaurant environment.
  • Experience in cash handling is essential.
  • Familiarity with point of sale systems is required; knowledge of Micros is advantageous.
  • Strong sales and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capability to stand and carry a tray throughout the duration of a shift.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to successfully obtain a Gaming License.

Work Environment Considerations

  • Regular exposure to a food and beverage environment; standing and walking for extended periods; potential exposure to heat, cold, steam, noise, and odors; physical activities including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, and bending; some exposure to fumes, smoke, and chemicals; risk of minor cuts and burns; flexibility in scheduling is required.
