Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Insurance Advisor to join our team in Kentville, NS. As an Insurance Advisor, you will be responsible for providing personalized insurance solutions to our clients, identifying their needs, and developing tailored plans to meet their objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct needs assessments and provide insurance recommendations to clients
  • Sell new policies and retain existing business
  • Quote new business and process renewals
  • Communicate with underwriters and adjusters to discuss policy guidelines
  • Prepare documentation for insurers and complete applications for clients
  • Stay up-to-date on underwriting rules and workflow processes
  • Participate in training initiatives and community marketing efforts
  • Process account receivable activities and provide guidance to colleagues as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or post-secondary education
  • Valid insurance license for the Province of Nova Scotia or willingness to obtain same
  • Experience with Epic is an asset
  • Strong customer focus and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
