About the Role

Crawford & Company is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Desk Adjuster 1. In this role, you will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle commercial and personal lines claims on the desktop using various techniques and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct field adjusters on a task basis as required
  • Participate in ensuring accurate recording, reporting, and presentation of files
  • Conduct telephone investigations, evaluate, negotiate, and settle first and third-party commercial lines claims
  • Maintain accurate and detailed activity, transaction, and reserve records
  • Utilize advanced computer skills, including Office 365 and Windows 10
  • Develop and maintain strong communication skills
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality results and exceptional customer service
Requirements
  • 2 years of technical experience in an insurance claims environment
  • Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field, working towards full license and CIP designation
  • Knowledge of commercial and personal lines in both Property and Auto PD is an asset
  • Licensed in multiple provinces, including Alberta and British Columbia, or ability to obtain a license preferred
  • French/English bilingualism is considered an asset
