Job Title: Human Resources Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Human Resources Officer to join our team at Community Living Glengarry Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to recruitment, employee relations, and personnel administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Selection: Identify current and prospective staffing requirements, prepare and post notices and advertisements, collect and screen applicants, and advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Employee Relations: Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures, organize staff consultation and grievance procedures, and negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes.
  • Personnel Administration: Determine eligibility to entitlements, arrange staff training, supervise personnel clerks, and maintain payroll and filing systems.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to multitask, and proficiency in MS Office and database software.
