Job Title: Host

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host to join our team at e11even restaurant in Toronto. As a Host, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to our guests, ensuring a memorable experience for every diner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries, providing accurate and timely information to our guests.
  • Ensure all menus and wine lists are clean and tidy prior to the start of each shift, maintaining a high level of presentation and organization.
  • Review and take reservations accurately, ensuring seamless table management and minimizing wait times.
  • Present and maintain menus, providing guests with a clear understanding of our offerings and specials.
  • Work closely with the Service Manager to prepare and coordinate seating plans, ensuring efficient table allocation and guest satisfaction.
  • Seat guests according to seating plan, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
  • Communicate any special requests to Servers and Bussers, ensuring that every guest's needs are met.
  • Maximize the capacity of the dining room by assisting with table re-setting and other duties as needed, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Adhere to MLSE service standards and policies, upholding the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Assist Bussers, Servers, Bartenders, and Managers as needed, demonstrating a team-oriented approach and a commitment to excellence.
  • Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all staff and guests.
Qualifications:
  • Previous hosting experience in a high-volume restaurant is required, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Previous cash handling responsibilities are an asset, with a strong understanding of cash handling procedures and protocols.
  • Work well under pressure, balancing multiple tasks simultaneously and maintaining a high level of composure and professionalism.
