About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Construction Laborer at JEMESON CONSTRUCTION LTD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Material Application: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Equipment Operation: Assist in operating cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas.
  • Support Services: Provide support to medical examiners and assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Demolition and Debris Removal: Assist in demolishing buildings and removing rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction to ensure they are in good working order.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity required.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and working in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
  • Language: English is the primary language used in the workplace.
