About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Projects Technician to join our team at Mr. Handyman. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers by completing small residential and commercial projects with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate project cost estimates for assigned projects, taking into account labor hours and materials consumption.
  • Independently complete assigned projects, ensuring they meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to manage expectations and provide recommendations for unforeseen changes.
  • Deliver a great customer experience, following the Mr. Handyman Way, to create life-long customers.
Performance Metrics
  • Customer Satisfaction (NPS): Encourage customers to complete surveys to rate their satisfaction with our service.
  • Revenue Target: Meet or exceed revenue targets by finding additional ways to provide value to customers.
  • Effective Billing Rate: Accurately invoice customers, source necessary materials, and collect payments.
  • Recall Percentage: Ensure all work is done right the first time, guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience working independently on small projects, such as kitchen, bathroom, and exterior building projects.
  • Ability to procure necessary materials and communicate effectively with customers.
  • Knowledge of building codes and ability to work safely at heights.
  • Professional appearance and maintenance of company-provided vehicle.
Benefits and Compensation

Compensation is based on billable hours and bonus, with an expected pay range of $70,000 to $100,000. The company also offers a 4% vacation allowance and matches CPP and EI contributions as required by law.
