Qualifications- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role
The position is set in a cold/refrigerated meat processing facility, where attention to safety and hygiene is paramount.
Key Responsibilities- Perform livestock slaughtering and remove inedible parts from carcasses.
- Execute religiously compliant slaughtering of cattle, calves, and sheep.
- Segment beef, lamb, pork, or veal carcasses into primal cuts for further processing.
- Prepare specific cuts of meat and poultry for wholesale distribution.
- Remove bones from various meat products.
- Provide training and guidance to junior meat cutters.
- Prepare standard cuts of meat, ensuring quality and precision.
- Maintain cleanliness of meats prior to processing.
- Experience with cleavers, knives, power cutting tools, and saws.
- Familiarity with stunning devices.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and engage in physically demanding work.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Capability to stand for extended periods.
