About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Assistant to join our team at Knowhoworks Inc. as a Painter Helper. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting our painters in various tasks related to construction and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Participate in demolishing buildings, adhering to safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance work, including cleaning up chemical spills and removing rubble and debris.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, maintaining a safe and organized environment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Flexibility and reliability in meeting deadlines and working with a team.

Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors, at heights, and in dusty conditions. Relocation costs will be covered by the employer.
