About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Dexterra Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards and presented in a visually appealing way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation, presentation, and serving of fresh, scratch-made meals to our guests.
- Work closely with the Chef Manager to plan menus, order ingredients, and manage kitchen operations.
- Ensure that all food is prepared using FOODSAFE protocols and in accordance with Dana Hospitality standards.
- Manage food and labor resources within budgeted guidelines.
- Train and develop staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume, full-service environment.
- Strong passion for culinary excellence and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle last-minute requests.
- Basic knowledge of financial aspects of business operations.
- Caring, self-motivated, and able to lead, coach, and drive excellence.
