About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Philanthropy to join our team at Richmond Hospital Foundation. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and inspire our community to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Major Gift Fundraising: Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gift donors to support our mission.
  2. Donor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain a portfolio of 100 to 150+ major gift prospects/donors, and provide timely reports to the Chief Philanthropy Officer.
  3. Donor Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on gift activities, donors, and prospects using our donor database.
  4. Event Planning: Collaborate with key external volunteers, including Board members and community leaders, to plan and execute donor-focused cultivation/fundraising events.
  5. Marketing and Communications: Develop and edit marketing materials, including Chinese-language content, to ensure accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
  6. Team Support: Provide guidance and support to the Philanthropy Officer and Philanthropy Coordinator.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Business degree and/or professional certification (e.g. CFRE), with a minimum of 3+ years' major gifts fundraising experience.
  2. Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven leadership skills in a non-profit fundraising environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Cultural Competence: In-depth knowledge of the local Asian community, with the ability to research, write, and deliver compelling stories or concepts.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficient in WeChat and other Chinese social media platforms, with the ability to analyze data and track progress.
