Job Summary

Northern Health Authority is seeking a seasoned healthcare professional to fill the role of Program Director, Family Medicine Unit. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care in a designated clinical area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of patient-centered care that meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that promote excellence in patient care and improve health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and services, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Manage and oversee the allocation of resources, including staff, budget, and equipment, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to promote collaboration and improve patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant.
  • Advanced preparation in the designated clinical specialty area(s), three years' recent related experience in a management/leadership position, and four years' recent clinical experience in designated clinical specialty area(s); or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
