About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our team at Unionville College: Montessori, Elementary, & Secondary School. As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in supporting the design and development of our school facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Assist in the design and development of architectural plans and specifications for school facilities.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documents, reports, and proposals related to architectural projects.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in the coordination and supervision of construction projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including teachers, administrators, and contractors, to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with architectural standards.
  • Cost Estimation: Assist in estimating costs and materials for architectural projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and financial planning.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent in a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in architectural technology or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, and a team player attitude.
