Position Overview

As a Showroom Sales Consultant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional product selection guidance and design recommendations to our clientele. Your primary objective will be to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction, thereby achieving or surpassing sales and profitability goals while enhancing profit-sharing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist customers in identifying their requirements, guiding their product choices, and successfully finalizing sales transactions.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with designers, builders, and architects to drive profitable sales growth.
  • Provide prompt and reliable quotations along with accurate delivery timelines to customers.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales and profit objectives specific to products.
  • Process orders and quotes within the system, ensuring timely communication with customers regarding their purchases.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns; manage short payments and returns efficiently to exceed customer expectations and benefit the Profit Centre.
  • Keep product literature updated to guarantee customers have access to the latest information.
  • Promote showroom sales through strategic marketing initiatives and maintain attractive display materials.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols at customer sites and within the Profit Centre.
  • Execute additional tasks as directed by the Profit Centre Manager.
  • Handle invoicing and organize daily sales documentation.
  • Manage cash desk operations, including payment processing and end-of-day reconciliation for debit and credit transactions.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service or sales, preferably in plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showrooms.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of showroom products and recommend suitable options to meet customer needs.
  • Familiarity with current kitchen and bath design trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Competence in identifying customer needs, offering solutions, and closing sales effectively.
  • Excellent project management abilities.
  • Capacity to learn and utilize the relevant software systems for order processing.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Basic understanding of entry-level accounting principles is advantageous.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience or knowledge of products available in plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showrooms.
