Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychological assessments of students who exhibit educational and social difficulties to develop intervention strategies and special program placement.
  • Consult with school and district staff to design, implement, monitor, and evaluate intervention measures.
  • Provide written reports on all formal casework.
  • Consult with teachers, principals, and administrators to develop policy and programs at the school and district level.
  • Provide in-service sessions for teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and upgrade their knowledge and skills.
  • Conduct and disseminate research relevant to the needs of students in our district.
  • Determine the need for making referrals to other school district professionals and outside agencies.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Educational Psychology with a successful practicum placement.
  • Eligible for registration with BC College of Psychologists or certification with BC Association of School Psychologists.
